Personalise your funeral plan to suit your needs

Whether you would like a ‘no frills’ cremation or a more comprehensive funeral service, your funeral director can help design a plan to suit you. As well as the typical services, such as collection and care of the deceased until the funeral and provision of the funeral arrangements including a hearse and one or more limousines, here are some themes which customers have already requested:

  • Military
  • Motorcycle hearse
  • Victorian horse-drawn hearse
  • Grand American-style coffin
  • Woven, environmentally friendly coffin
  • Burial at sea
  • Burial in a woodland
  • Customised picture coffins

Funeral plan options

You can choose from a range of set plans, based on the most commonly-requested funeral arrangements, or create your own personalised plan. Here are some examples of the more commonly-requested funeral plans.

All plans are flexible and can be amended or added to, for example if you decide you would like a horse-drawn hearse or additional limousines, although there may be more to pay if you add extra services. You may also like to think about any readings, music or other special requests that you would like your plan to include. There are generally no charges to personalise your plan in these ways. This information will be recorded by your chosen funeral director and kept safe until it is needed.

You can also include a contribution to third party costs such as for the cremation or burial, medical fees and/or payments to a minister or officiant.

Here are some of the services you may wish to consider including in your funeral plan:

  • The services of your funeral director
  • Provision of the necessary funeral arrangements
  • Professional advice on certification and registration of death
  • Collection of the deceased and conveyance to the funeral director’s premises
  • Care of the deceased until the cremation or burial takes place
  • An option to view the deceased
  • Your choice of coffin
  • Provision of a hearse
  • Provision of a limousine(s)
  • The collection and administration of charitable donations
